Do I have to cook separate meals for my child?
No, the difference between family members will be in the portion
sizes. The portion sizes for your child will be specific.
My child has diabetes, can he/she follow this plan?
Yes, it suitable for diabetics. Guidance from a healthcare
professional is always advised in medical conditions as there
might be unique factors to take into consideration.
What if my child reached his/her goal weight and stop with the programme?
There are several maintenance plans available until the
age of 18 for each gender and for different levels of
physical activity.
How do I know my child is overweight or at risk for becoming overweight?
You can do a quick assessment by using our guidelines
looking at the BMI, fat percentage and growth charts. A
health care professional will be able to assist.
Will my child be able to eat ‘normal’ again?
We are teaching you what is ‘normal’ with the maintenance plans.
Do I have to buy special foods?
No, it is every day foods that you can buy at the
local grocery stores.
Is my child allowed to cheat and eat junk-food occasionally?
The more cheat-meals there are, the slower the weight loss,
however, we do appreciate the fact that children should be
allowed flexibility and we teach how much cheats and treats
are acceptable.

Why must my child take supplements if the programme is “healthy and balanced”?
Poor soil conditions as well as processing, transport and
storage of food often lead to less nutrient-dense products;
therefore we are making sure that there no nutrient deficiencies
and that normal growth and development can progress. Furthermore,
supplements give you a bit of flexibility – then you not need
to worry about fuzzy eaters and if all the micronutrients are
taken in or not!
